European Award in Human Genetics 2000 – IX Edition – Prof Dirk Bootsma

Prof. Dirk Bootsma is director of the Genetics University of Rotterdam. He was one of the first to identify and reproduce in the laboratory a region of DNA involved in tumor-specific translocation: the Philadelphia translocation involved in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
