European Award in Human Genetics 1995 – IV Edition – Prof Jean Weissenbach

Prof. Weissenbach directs the Genethon Institute in Paris; he discovered in the human genome of cells, called microsatellites, that mark the position of some genes responsible for serious morbid forms. This discovery fueled the human genome marking project.
